Detritors are the grit collection and washing chambers in which grit is settled down, scraped towards the collection pit then organic materials washed out through the organic return mechanism & then collected grit taken out through screw classifiers / reciprocating rake classifiers.

The Detritor achieves grit separation of 90% or more for particles up to 200 microns, uses screw classifiers or reciprocating rake classifiers for grit removal, and is available in MSEP, SS304, or SS316 construction with customized configurations.
